iVe v2.4 adds a monumental update to the iVe Hardware Kit
The new iVe Hardware Case is now shipping!
The iVe Hardware Case is the culmination of a two-year effort to design the ultimate carrying case to protect and organize the hardware used to acquire data from vehicle systems. Countless hours were spent analyzing customer feedback and interviewing users to better understand the day-to-day operational environment. The time and effort show in the final product, which is sure to please users who have long been accustomed to the old Range Bag.
The iVe Hardware Case is water resistant and can withstand heavy use in abrasive environments, and the dimensions were specifically chosen to be within airline carry-on size restrictions.
The inside of the case maximizes visibility and access while maintaining an unprecedented level of organization. The lid contains high visibility mesh pockets with separate zipper and elastic closures for securing common cables and frequently used items. The fold-out wings provide easy access to the hardware and power supplies used during the acquisition process. Cables and other sub-components used in conjunction with each of these items are stored on a secondary layer in the wings beneath each piece of hardware. The large compartment at the bottom of the case holds the breakout toolkit and protective containers.
The containers with their custom-fit molds serve a dual purpose. First, they protect sensitive components such as device interface boards, minimizing the risk of breakages and bent pins. And second, the custom-fit foam molds are used in conjunction with the included graphic identification guides to help organize all components, ensuring everything is present and in its place for whenever you need it.
In short, the new iVe Hardware Case is all about organization, durability, and protection. Of course, rugged good looks never hurt.

Wondering how to convert all of the kit components from the old Range Bag to the new Hardware Case? There is a detailed, graphic conversion guide designed to help with that process. A hard copy is shipped with every case, and it may also be accessed through both the iVe Software or iVe Mobile for applicable users. Simply navigate to the user account information by clicking the user name in the upper right of iVe Software, or tapping the menu in the upper left on iVe Mobile. The link to the conversion guide will be found at the top of the kit inventory.
