Berla has released iVe Mobile version 3.1, which features several notable highlights. With this release of iVe Mobile we are pleased to announce two new key resources that will help you when indoctrinating other investigators, prosecutors, and clients into the vehicle forensics community.
Video Resources
The video resources feature provides you with a centralized location to view the various video series, release webinars, and other recorded content we have available. Our first video resources release is the new Vehicle Forensics Introductory Series. This series covers basic topics such as what data vehicles generate, how to use it as key evidence in investigations, and the vehicle forensics process. It will help you get those you work with on the road to effectively using vehicle data in investigations.
Sample Data
One of the keys to understanding the power of vehicle data is being able to see it in action. Historically, a sample data set is something that has been frequently requested but difficult to obtain. Starting with iVe Mobile v3.1, we now have the ability to add sample data. The first data set pairs with the introductory video series. It allows users to follow along with Ben and Ken as they explain what data is available in vehicles, and how to use iVe Mobile to view and analyze the data. To access the sample data set, tap ‘Resources’ and select ‘2018 Ford F-150 Raptor’ in the ‘Sample Data’ section.
Other Features and Enhancements
Events that have GPS coordinates are now included on maps. This new feature adds considerably to how data from a collection can be visually presented and analyzed. Tap on an individual event on the map, and its associated timestamp is displayed.
Several minor bug fixes are also included in the release.
Download the Latest Version
If you have not already done so, download your copy of iVe Mobile from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Current users should update to the latest version in order to take advantage of the new features and improvements.
